Here we are again, like every Tuesday, for another episode of Monday Night Raw! It’s the last one before Bash in Berlin! We’re live from Providence, Rhode Island, with our classic commentary duo, Michael Cole and Corey Graves, who’s back on Raw!
And we’re kicking things off with a bang! Here comes the New Judgment Day!! You know, the group that supposedly has no ego and no leaders, but let’s be real, Finn Balor and Liv Morgan are definitely running the show. Now, they might be the bad guys, but honestly, I just can’t hate them! Finn grabs the mic while the crowd keeps booing, and Liv welcomes us to Raw, saying it’s time to “honor” the Judgment Day.
Bálor, with his usual humble self, reminds us that they’re not the bad guys—nah, that title goes to Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley. He shows a clip of last week’s beatdown and says it’s just a taste of what’s coming at Bash in Berlin. But really, Finn? You sure about that? I wouldn’t bet on Rhea and Damien going down that easy! Liv, with all the subtlety of a freight train, calls out Rhea for having too much of an ego and claims she and “Daddy Dom” will always be on top.
Dom grabs the mic, but as usual, he’s drowned out by the crowd’s boos—man, it’s wild how he went from being loved to one of the most hated! Carlito jumps in with some Spanish, even calling Dom “caballero”—I have my doubts on that one! Then Dominik, with an ego the size of a small country, claims that Liv helped him beat his “deadbeat dad” and that with her by his side, he’s gonna win the Intercontinental Championship tournament.
But wait, here comes Rey Mysterio’s music! The legendary Hall of Famer hits the ring with the LWO, and after reminding Dom that he’s lost and needs to get his act together, he straight-up calls him a jackass. Gotta say, I’m with Rey on this one! He warns Dom that someone’s gotta put him in his place. Dom, still full of arrogance, fires back that he already beat his dad. A brawl breaks out in the ring—seriously, I love it when they all start throwing punches—between the LWO and Judgment Day, ending with the bad guys getting tossed out of the ring.
After the commercial break, the match between Judgment Day and LWO is already underway. It’s a tight fight with a lot of tags between the teams. Rey and Dom face off multiple times, with Rey even hitting Dom with the 619. But then Liv Morgan jumps in, distracting Rey and letting Dom score the pin on his dad. Gotta hand it to the LWO, though—they put on a hell of a show. I mean, we’re talking about the art of Mexican lucha libre
here!
After the match, Judgment Day keeps attacking the LWO, but just when it looks like it’s over, Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest storm in to save the day. The Terror Twins are here, yeahhh!! Rhea slams Liv into a ring post, while Priest and Rhea clean house, leaving Judgment Day licking their wounds. What do you have to say now, Finn??! I might be a little biased, but
they’re phenomenal!
And now we cut to some backstage action—you guys know I love this stuff—where Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods are talking about last week’s match, promising to communicate better tonight. Ah, communication, that mysterious art… Wonder where the New Day storyline is headed? It’d be interesting to see Austin Creed turn heel!
Here we go with the second match of the night: IYO SKY and Kairi Sane from Damage CTRL vs. Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark from the Pure Fusion Collective.
Stark and Sky kick things off. Both hit the ropes, SKY lands a shot on Stark… Shayna sneaks in a blind tag… and boom! Sonya takes down SKY, but the cameras miss it. SKY gets distracted and Sonya drops her.
After the commercial break, SKY takes out Shayna… Sane tags in. Shayna tries to fight back, but Sane floors her with a heavy hit. SKY and Sane double team Shayna and Stark, sending them flying out of the ring. Sane and SKY corner Shayna, and Sane hits her with a flying forearm from the top rope. Sane goes for the pin, but Shayna kicks out at two. Shayna manages to tag Stark… Stark delivers a killer dropkick to Sane. Stark goes for the pin, but SKY breaks it up… Sane and Stark are up on the top rope… and out of nowhere, Zelina Vega takes out Sonya Deville on the outside. Shayna gets tossed out, and Sane nails a moonsault… SKY follows up with a big elbow off the top rope on Stark and pins her for the win.
Damage CTRL wins by pinfall. It’s wild that they’ve turned face on Raw, and honestly, it feels a bit weird! I gotta say, this Damage CTRL vs. Pure Fusion Collective storyline isn’t exactly setting the world on fire—kinda weak!
Back from the break, Michael Cole hypes up the Bash in Berlin kickoff show, airing this Friday for free on Peacock, WWE Network, and all of WWE’s social platforms.
Drew McIntyre’s music hits, and the Scottish Warrior makes his slow walk to the ring.
Drew’s got a mic in hand, and the crowd’s booing loud, chanting “Punk! Punk!” Drew says it’s great to be alive in Providence on a Monday night… He says he knows Punk’s routine—how Punk’s always talking about himself and how hot the industry is but never about how he sat on his butt for eight years while everyone else did the work... Drew takes a seat in the ring and says he’s spitting facts, that CM Punk is scared of Drew McIntyre. Drew says Punk keeps sneak-attacking him from behind… He points out that the crowd chants Punk’s name every week. Drew says every scar he leaves on Punk, the fans are gonna have to live with. He calls out the fans for choosing Punk over the warrior who’s been there through the darkest times… Drew shows the bracelet on his wrist, talking about the pain he’s caused Punk…
Then Punk’s music hits… Punk sneaks up and whips Drew with a strap… Punk sends Drew out of the ring… Drew fights back and hits Punk on the back… Drew grabs the strap and goes after Punk, but Punk dodges, grabs the strap, and whips Drew over and over… Security rushes in and separates them… Punk wipes out the security guards with the strap while Drew retreats into the crowd!
This storyline is fire—they’re going at it hard, just the way we like it, no holds barred! I can’t wait to see their match this Saturday at Bash in Berlin!
Gotta give props to Corey Graves and Michael Cole for their reflexes—twice today their announce table nearly got wrecked!
Then we cut to the backstage where our boy Jey Uso is hanging with some fans at the concession stand. Jey Uso heads to the arena as the fans chant “YEET!” Jey makes his way down as the bell rings… Man, his entrances are straight-up legendary! I found myself doing the “Yeet” with my hands right in front of the screen!
And now onto the third match of the night: WWE Intercontinental Title No. 1 Contender Match: Jey Uso vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Karrion Kross
The bell rings and we’re off. Kofi and Jey take turns stomping Kross in the corner. They double-team him, and Kross falls out of the ring. Jey goes for a roll-up on Kofi, but he kicks out. Jey hits the ropes, but Kofi nails him with a spinning back elbow. Kofi goes for the pin, but Jey kicks out. Kofi tosses Jey into the ropes, but Kross pulls him out of the ring and clotheslines him. Kross gets on the apron, but Kofi hits him with a dropkick. Kofi climbs the top rope and dives onto both men outside the ring.
Back from the commercial, Jey lands some right hands on Kross and kicks Kofi in the head. He charges at Kross, but Kross boots him in the face. Kofi hits a double boot on Kross. Kofi with a crossbody off the top rope, but Kross kicks out. Kofi dropkicks Kross and clotheslines Jey. Kofi nails Jey with Trouble in Paradise, and Kross hits Kofi with an elbow to the face. Kross powerbombs Kofi, but Kofi kicks out at two. Kross locks in a cloverleaf, but Kofi reverses it into a roll-up, and Kross kicks out. Kross hits an elbow to the face, and Jey spears
Kross. Jey climbs to the top rope and lands the Uso Splash. Jey goes for the cover and gets the win. And our boy Yeet! Jey Uso wins! Let’s be real, he totally deserves a championship run!
Randy Orton's Moment! His music hits, and out comes the man himself. The crowd's chanting "Randy," and being the seasoned vet he is, Orton admits that for most of his career, he listened to the voices in his head, but now he listens to the fans. He thanks them for singing along to his entrance music and reminds everyone that, even though he's won a bunch of titles, there’s one world title that’s closest to his heart: the World Heavyweight Championship. Why? Because it’s the first world title he ever won, making him the youngest champ in history. Gotta love Randy Orton! The guy's an absolute beast! And if anyone deserves that World Heavyweight Championship, it’s Randy—way more than Gunther! But hey, we're talking about top-tier champs here, not just Randy or Gunther! You gotta have that extra something to make it to WWE, right?
Ten years ago, Orton had the honor of unifying WWE’s two world titles, and at that moment, he "retired" the World Heavyweight Championship with his name etched on it. A year ago, the new title was reborn, but he was chilling on his couch, recovering from spinal surgery. But Orton, being the optimist he is, knew that if he ever got back in the ring, he’d do whatever it takes to get his name engraved on that title again. And this Saturday, he's finally got the chance to do it. New title, new legacy, new Orton? Maybe.
The fans start chanting, "You deserve it," but Randy, keeping it real, admits that on Saturday in Berlin, he's stepping into enemy territory against a living legend in Europe: Gunther. But being the cocky SOB he is, Randy adds that Gunther is so full of himself he doesn't even realize he's facing the Randy Orton. Randy reminds the fans that they've watched him grow up, signing his WWE contract at 19 and learning from his mistakes. But Gunther? He rolled into WWE in his 30s with a massive ego. And that might be the only thing they have in common.
Orton points out that, unlike him, Gunther’s never been humbled. But at Bash in Berlin, Randy plans on showing him who's boss. Gunther made this personal, talking about Randy's family and demons. But Randy, always the tough guy, says he’s faced demons way worse than Gunther and beat them all, just like he'll beat him. And if Gunther's wondering how, the answer lies in the three most dangerous letters in sports entertainment: RKO.
Orton drops the mic, and his music hits again. Showman till the end, and you just gotta love it!
Next up, one of the most hyped matches of the night: Big Bronson Reed vs. Braun Strowman.
The bell rings, and we're off. Strowman starts strong with a dropkick and some heavy hits on Reed. But Reed ain't backing down; he fires back with a clothesline and even pulls off a suicide dive! They brawl all the way to the arena entrance, where Reed grabs a trash can and chucks it at Strowman. But then Strowman chokeslams Reed onto a car hood, and as if that wasn't enough, Reed hits a Tsunami off the wall onto the roof of the car. Result? No contest. Both guys are out cold, and WWE officials rush out to check if they’re still breathing. Bronson Reed is straight-up lethal, and when I saw what he pulled off, I thought, "This dude's
insane!" He's one of those wrestlers who's just devastating and relentless!
Intercontinental Title Match: The Miz vs. Xavier Woods vs. Pete Dunne
This match was a rollercoaster of hits and counters. Miz eats a tornado DDT outside the ring, Woods busts out one move after another, and Dunne launches himself like a missile. In the end, Dunne nails The Miz with the Bitter End and scores the win. Pete Dunne is the new contender for the title! But I gotta say, Pete Dunne doesn’t do it for me—I was rooting for The Miz or Xavier Woods the whole time! Either of them would've deserved that win!
Finally, the main event of the night: Chad Gable vs. Uncle Howdy
Gable's ready to prove he's the all-American badass he claims to be. But Uncle Howdy, with his creepy entrance, has other plans. The match is a clash of strength and technique, but in the end, with a little chaos (and help from the Creed Brothers), Uncle Howdy wraps it up with his finishing move, Sister Abigail, and pins Gable for the win. WWE Raw ends with Gable do
wn on the mat and Howdy laughing it up.
That’s a wrap—what a night of battles and surprises, perfectly setting up for Bash in Berlin! Catch you Saturday for Smackdown's pre-Bash commentary, and of course, Sunday for the Bash in Berlin breakdown!
Xoxo, Selena!
