Here we are for another episode of Monday Night Raw, right after Bad Blood! And the Attitude Era theme kicks in! Man, I’m loving this new era of WWE!
Then. Now. Forever. Together! That’s the epic WWE opening video that kicks off the show, while the camera shows the iconic St. Louis arch.
Today, we see Sami Zayn arriving at the arena, all set to challenge Gunther, the reigning champ, who’s putting his title on the line after Sami’s countless prayers! Pete Dunne is also in the house, ready to face Sheamus in a thrilling Good Ol’ Fashioned Donnybrook Match. The New Day is front and center, with Xavier Woods set to battle Jey Uso for the Intercontinental title. Uso is also spotted arriving.
Welcome to this episode of Raw, brought to you by Sexyy Red! For those who don’t know, she’s a dope American rapper!
The St. Louis artist, Sexyy Red, is in the ring, greeting the crowd and introducing Monday Night Raw.
Next up, we get a recap of the highlights from Bad Blood, featuring The Rock’s return and that intense Hell in a Cell match between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre.
Let’s kick things off with the arrival of CM Punk! His music hits, and the Second City Saint limps onto the stage. With his right arm all taped up and a bandage on his forehead, Punk stops to chat with the crowd. They erupt in a “CM Punk” chant. With a deep voice, Punk shows love for his fans, thanking those who supported him during his absence and sharing his doubts about the future, even giving a shoutout to his haters! That’s class!
But then, here comes the legendary, fantastic, marvelous Seth Rollins!!
BURN IT DOWN!” Rollins’ music blares as he makes his way to the ring, facing off with Punk before addressing the audience. Rollins, with his signature style, jokes about the chaos he’s seen during his time away and challenges Bronson Reed, promising revenge. I love this guy; he’s the classic dude with a face you just can’t help but adore! And his jabs at Dominik Mysterio in the shark cage or Cody Rhodes teaming up with Roman Reigns are just gold! This is a match you can’t miss—The Monster vs. The Revolutionary, The Visionary, Seth Freakin Rollins!
Now, let’s get to the Intercontinental Title match, with Jey Uso taking on Woods! Let’s just say, Yeet!
The match kicks off with Woods showing off his strength against Uso. After some back-and-forth, Uso manages to hold onto his title with a spectacular Uso Splash. But then, out of nowhere, Bron Breakker makes a shocking attack that leaves everyone stunned!
This Bron Breakker attack is just ridiculous! What the heck?! Jey Uso, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods get brutally attacked by Breakker, who takes the Intercontinental title, leaving the crowd in a frenzy. But wasn’t he supposed to turn face?! What’s he doing?! Jey Uso earned that title fair and square! Bron Breakker’s motto: “You suck!”
Next up, the Good Ol’ Fashioned Donnybrook Match.
The match between Sheamus and Pete Dunne heats up with devastating strikes and mind-blowing moments, culminating in Sheamus winning triumphantly, even with his hands tied behind his back.
Then we roll into those skits I adore, where Cathy Kelley interviews Cody Rhodes as he gears up for the new Crown Jewel title. Determined Sami Zayn shows up and reveals his intention to challenge him, promising an epic showdown! This is gonna be a match for the ages! Zayn’s decision to take on Cody has to do with the beatdown from his lifelong buddy Kevin Owens after Bad Blood. For those out of the loop, Owens “attacked” Cody post-Bad Blood because he teamed up with Roman Reigns!
Sure! Here’s your text translated into American English with some slang:

The Unholy Union and the Pure Fusion Collective went head-to-head in an epic match! Kayden Carter kicked things off against Zoey Stark, who wasted no time taking her down with a clothesline and even taunted Katana Chance. But the real chaos erupted when Sonya Deville hit the ring, sparking a brawl straight outta an action movie! Lyra Valkyria made her entrance with an insane baseball slide that took out Deville, while Chance flew in with a plancha to take down Stark.
Zelina Vega wasn’t about to be left out and hit Alba Fyre with a meteora from the apron, while Natalya, fed up with just watching, decided to team up and took down Deville with a slick move. But hold up! Just when you thought things were calming down, Fyre and Dawn tried a double suplex on Natalya, only to get countered with a double DDT!
The match kept throwing surprises: Stark and Vega traded blows and takedowns, with Vega pulling off a sick hurricanrana. But, oh man! Deville stepped in and hit Zelina for a two-count. With everyone in the ring, the tension was rising and the crowd was going wild! In the end, Valkyria dropped a leg on Deville and secured the win for her team! The winners by pinfall were Natalya, Zelina Vega, Lyra Valkyria, Kayden Carter, and Katana Chance. It was a solid match, but honestly, nothing too thrilling! This storyline feels kinda flat, let me know what you think in the comments!
After that explosive showdown, it’s time for Sami Zayn, who’s gearing up to challenge Gunther for the World Championship.
But then we get a video: Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair hype up their awaited showdown against Damage CTRL. Cargill’s not backing down, while Belair reminds everyone that IYO SKY pulled a fast one on her last time. But now, nothing’s a given!
Now we’re at the main event for the World Heavyweight Championship: Sami Zayn vs. “The Ring General” Gunther. This is a rematch from WrestleMania 40, and the tension is thick!
As soon as the bell rings, Gunther locks in a side headlock that seems to go on forever! Zayn tries to break free, but Gunther’s got a tight grip. Zayn manages to pull back and adapt, but Gunther’s not one to get scared off easily. During the commercial break, Gunther takes control, hitting Zayn with brutal chops that make him look like a violin getting smashed! But Zayn’s not the type to just roll over; he counters with a Blue Thunder Bomb! The crowd goes nuts!
The match rolls on with Zayn trying to rally against Gunther, but the champ keeps him in check with powerful chops and strikes. Zayn lands a Helluva Kick, but Gunther stands tall, and the crowd can’t help but chant his name. As things heat up, Gunther tries to lock in a Sleeper Hold. The crowd’s losing it, and it looks like Zayn might tap, but he rises up like a true warrior! But oh no! Gunther’s pressure is too much, and the ref has no choice but to stop the match.
Winner by Referee Decision and still World Champion: Gunther!
As Gunther raises the title in victory, Cody Rhodes shows up in the background, eyeing the champ as the show wraps up. It’s clear this rivalry isn’t over, and fans can’t wait to see what’s next!
And if you think this was an epic, just wait to see what’s coming in the future! Well, that’s a wrap for this episode; I gotta say it was good, especially with Seth’s return! Some matches were a bit meh, but not every match and episode can be top-notch! Catch you on Smackdown Saturday for my thoughts!
Xoxo,
Selena
