WWE kicked off the night with a bang: Bret "The Hitman" Hart made his return to his beloved Calgary, while a wild, chaotic match was brewing!
The first match of the night started with a BANG, an 8-Person Mixed Tag Team Street Fight!
The highlight of the night? A Street Fight where eight wrestlers literally tore each other apart: American Made(Chad Gable, the Creed brothers, and Ivy Nile) vs the creepy Wyatt Sicks(Erick Rowan, Dexter Lumis, Joe Gacy, and Nikki Cross). Spoiler: no one left the ring unscathed.
It all kicked off when Nikki Cross hit Ivy Nile with a surprise "Sister Abigail," and things just escalated from there. Kendo sticks, chairs, tables, and… even trash cans were flying everywhere! Ivy Nile got a trash can stuck on her head while Gable tried to take control, only to get flipped by Lumis. Rowan, the indestructible giant, wrecked everyone with a double suplex, while Uncle Howdy enjoyed the carnage from his rocking chair at ringside (yeah, dude's got a rocking chair!).
There were plenty of "OMG!" moments: double clotheslines, German suplexes through tables, and a nasty fall off the steel steps. But the final blow came when Rowan smashed Gable onto the steel steps, Lumis flew off the top rope, and... 1, 2, 3! Wyatt Sicks stood tall over the wreckage that was Chad Gable.
If you thought this brawl was brutal, you were wrong—it was savage, insane, but... epic! What a way to start the show!
Bombshell Announcement: RAW is getting shorter!
Joe Tessitore dropped the news that starting October 7 through December 30, Raw’s gonna be cut down to two hours, from 8 to 10 PM (Eastern time). Less wrestling for those winter nights, or maybe it’ll just be more intense? Let me know what y'all think in the comments! I’m all for it—less filler, more action!
Commentators then turned their attention to the hot topic of the night: The Judgment Day . And I gotta say, I’m really digging this commentary team!
Last Week on RAW
Liv Morgan ambushed Rhea Ripley, taking advantage of Ripley getting tangled up in the ropes. Sneaky? Maybe, but definitely effective. Ripley, though, didn’t waste time getting her revenge—she whacked Morgan with a crutch by the end of the night. Meanwhile, Damian Priest and Jey Uso defeated the Tag Team Champs Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh . Ah, the sweet, bitter taste of rivalry!
And gear up for WWE Bad Blood: Liv Morgan will defend her Women’s World Title against Rhea Ripley. It’s gonna be a banger of a match! I can’t wait! But man, it’s tough—I love both these women!
Finn Bálor vs Damian Priest Showdown
Here comes Finn Bálor, and you can see he’s pissed. Apparently, his bromance with Damian Priest is over—and not in a good way. Bálor accuses Priest of betraying him and holding him back. He claims he should’ve been World Champ by now, but every time he got close to the title, Priest was lurking with that damn Money in the Bank briefcase, ready to wreck it all.
Bálor calls Priest out for a face-to-face in the ring. Priest, fuming, accepts the challenge and says he’ll “knock him out” after Bálor gets whatever off his chest. But Bálor ain’t backing down and drops a bombshell: he wants to fight him one-on-one at WWE Bad Blood. Priest d
oesn’t hesitate—he’s in. But right after, things get physical!
Total Chaos: Judgment Day vs Priest
After a couple of quick shots, Carlito and JD McDonagh join the brawl, along with the always-sneaky Dominik Mysterio. It’s not looking good for Priest, but hold up—here comes Rhea Ripley hobbling down with her crutch, ready to throw down with some "brutality." Mysterio tries to stop her, but Ripley smacks him with the crutch, while Liv Morgan takes the chance to attack Ripley’s injured knee.
Poor Priest gets jumped by everyone, but in a surprising moment of chivalry, he throws himself over Ripley to shield her from Morgan’s rage. Things go from bad to worse: Carlito and McDonagh hold Priest down while Mysterio bashes his ribs with the crutch. Just when Bálor seems ready to deliver the final blow, our boy "Main Event" Jey Uso charges down with a steel chair, sending the Judgment Day scurrying like rats!
Betrayals, brawls, flying crutches, and a little bit of chivalry—Judgment Day’s got everything, except a shred of sanity! Gotta say, I’m loving this storyline—wild, messy, and totally gripping! I'm here for it!
Last week on Raw, The Unholy Union took down Damage CTRL, becoming the new #1 contender. Now, they’re facing the champs Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair.
WWE Women's Tag Team Championship
The Unholy Union (Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn) vs. Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair (c's)
The match kicks off with Bianca Belair squaring up against Alba Fyre. Bianca starts strong, dodging and dominating Fyre with shoulder tackles and a body slam. Jade Cargilltags in, and together, they hit Fyre with a double-team move, sending her flying. But Fyre and Isla Dawn regroup and use a distraction to ambush Jade from behind.
Cargill’s not having any of it, though, throwing down with powerful moves, but the Unholy Union works some sneaky double-team magic. They get close to a win, but Belair ain't backing down, coming back in with her usual fire, hitting clotheslines and dropkicks like it’s nothing.
The Unholy Union retaliates hard, hitting Bianca with a double powerbomb, nearly pinning her. But the crowd starts chanting "E-S-T!" and Bianca and Jade get their second wind. Cargill breaks up a double-team move from the Union, while Belair hits a lungblower, followed by Cargill's German Suplex on Fyre for the 1-2-3.
Winners by pinfall and still your WWE Women’s Tag Team Champs: Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair Backstage Segment with LWO
Jackie Redmond is backstage with the LWO. She asks Dragon Lee how he's prepping to face "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio and Judgment Day. Lee claps back, saying Judgment Day can’t do anything solo, but he’s got backup. Rey Mysterio backs him up, saying Lee’s gonna handle business. Bálor rolls up and threatens to take them out like they did Priest and Ripley. But Rey? Nah, he ain't scared. He challenges Bálor to stop hiding behind his “stupido” son and face him. Bálor accept
Bret "The Hitman" Hart Appearance
Finally, we get to one of the most hyped moments of the night: Canadian legend Bret “The Hitman” Hart steps out to a massive pop from his hometown crowd in Calgary! Even though he's looking a little worn out, the fans give him a standing ovation. Joe Tessitore announces that when WWE rolls back through in November, it'll be for Survivor Series in Vancouver.
Wade Barrett asks Hart how it feels to be back. Hart, cool as ever, says no one took more pride in repping Canada as a champ. As the crowd chants “Bret,” he hits ‘em with the classic line: he’s still the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be.
But wait, here comes trouble: Gunther The World Heavyweight Champ steps into the ring, and the boos are LOUD. Gunther gets on the mic and says it’s time for Hart to pass the torch. Sure, Hart was the best, but now he's the best. And just when you think it couldn’t get more disrespectful, Gunther says his childhood hero wasn’t Bret, but… Bill Goldberg! Hart's face says it all: "Really?"
Cue Sami Zayn's music, and the place explodes. Sami, repping a Calgary Flames jersey, steps into the ring to defend Hart’s honor, telling Gunther he’s got some nerve disrespecting this man in his city. Then Sami throws down the gauntlet, challenging Gunther to a match for the title. The crowd goesnuts, but Gunther? He just smiles and says, "Nah."
Hart, never one to let things slide, calls Gunther a "yellow-bellied coward." Gunther doesn’t like that one bit, and things get heated. But Zayn ain't backing down either. He gets in Gunther’s face, landing punches and sending the champ into the ring post. The refs come in and break it up, but the damage is done.
Zayn ends the segment by raising Hart’s arm in victory.
What a night to be a fan in Calgary!
