Here we are again for another episode of our beloved Blue show, SmackDown, and my personal review! 😉
Tonight, we’re at the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, South Carolina. And wow, what a night it was—full of twists, sibling rivalry, and, of course, family drama in true Bloodline style. But let’s get to it…
We kicked things off with a bang as Solo Sikoa strolled into SmackDown with Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa. The whole squad’s in the house, but it’s not exactly a family reunion.
Solo’s out there bragging about his success, like, “Look at me, I’m the man right now!” Then he throws down an ultimatum: either Roman Reigns comes down to the ring by the end of the night, or the beatdowns will keep coming. No pressure, right?
But wait, here comes Jey Uso from Monday Night Raw! Jey, channeling the patience of a saint, tries to talk some sense into his little bro. “Look, I got beef with Roman too. If you wanna take him down, fine, but let’s not blow up the family, okay?”
Naturally, Solo brushes him off with a smooth “Acknowledge me!” And Jey, keeping his cool like he’s trying not to snap at a stubborn kid, reminds him there’s a reason the family kept their distance from Jacob and the Tongans. Yeah, not exactly the warm and fuzzy family vibe here.
Before leaving the ring, Jey warns Solo that things will be different next time. Translation: “Next time, it’s gonna get wild, little bro!”
Best of Seven, Match 7 (3-3): Carmelo Hayes vs. Andrade... Or Not? Yup, you read that right. The highly anticipated seventh match between Carmelo Hayes and Andrade did NOT happen tonight! It got pushed to next week, and backstage, Carmelo decided to give Andrade a little “preview,” smacking him with a chain. Bad blood? Oh, definitely. Gotta say, this feud’s fire, but I feel like Andrade deserves better!
Now onto the first match of the night: Triple Threat for the #1 Contender Tag Team Titles: #DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa) vs. Pretty Deadly vs. Street Profits
Chaos in the ring! In a pretty wild finish, Montez Ford and Johnny Gargano pulled off two simultaneous pins, but only Gargano pinned the legal man. So, DIY earns their shot at the tag titles. Maybe double-check who’s legal next time, guys!
Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso make their grand entrance in an SUV, but who do they run into right away? Yep, Jey Uso. Surprise! Everything seems cool with Jimmy now, but Jey’s still giving Roman the cold shoulder. Roman throws out a “YEET,” but Jey’s not feeling it. Anyone smell family tension? Of course, Jey’s not gonna forgive Roman just like that. They gotta keep us hanging until Survivor Series, right?
Nia Jax is caught in Nick Aldis’s office on the phone. Her tag partner, Tiffany Stratton, is out with an illness, but Nick’s not having it—no match cancellations tonight. Luckily, Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell step up to save the day. And Nia? Oh, she’s definitely thrilled… or not.
Lash Legend defeats Piper Niven
Quick but intense match, with Lash Legend continuing to make waves in the women’s division. But let’s be real, this match was kinda filler.
Cody Rhodes: Goldberg vs. Steve Austin? Nah, Try Rhodes vs. Gunther!
Cody Rhodes hits the ring and drops a promo hyping his match against Gunther at WWE Crown Jewel. He makes some bold comparisons to legends like Goldberg and Steve Austin but says the future’s what matters. His message? “Gunther, see you next week!” So, Gunther and Cody Rhodes face-off next week! I like Cody, but honestly, this promo was kinda meh. I mean, compared to Roman and the Usos, Cody kinda fades into the background.
Kevin Owens Goes Off on Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton
KO’s feeling left out and isn’t shy about letting everyone know. WWE picked Cody Rhodes over him? Orton betrayed him? Owens is heated and wants answers. And when KO’s mad, things are about to get messy!
Next, we see a pissed-off Randy Orton storm into Nick Aldis’s office, demanding a match against Kevin Owens at WWE Crown Jewel. Orton, as direct as ever, wants to settle his issues in the ring. But Aldis shuts him down, saying he can’t combine the matches because of some “higher power.” So, no combo match for Randy… for now.
Triple Threat Tag Team Contender Match: A-Town Down Under vs. Los Garzas vs. Motor City Machine Guns
Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley made their SmackDown debut in the second Triple Threat Tag Match of the night, taking on Austin Theory, Grayson Waller, Angel, and Berto.
The Guns wasted no time showing the WWE Universe their trademark lightning-fast, double-team moves. Blink, and you might’ve missed half the match!
Even though it was MCMG’s big debut, all three teams had their moment to shine. Shoutout to Los Garzas, who were particularly impressive. Maybe they thought they were auditioning for Fast & Furious...
In the end, Sabin and Shelley secured the win, earning a shot at DIY next week for a chance at the titles. And as they say on the road: "Ready, set, go!"
Next match of the night: Nia Jax & Candice LeRae (with Indi Hartwell) vs. Naomi & Bayley.
Nia Jax and Candice LeRae, with Indi Hartwell by their side, took on Naomi and Bayley. Nia dominated Bayley early on, while Candice had some trouble with Naomi. After some back-and-forth, Nia hit Naomi with a spinebuster and a senton, but Naomi kicked out. During the commercial break, Bayley tried to pin Candice, but Nia broke it up. Naomi took Nia out with a suicide dive, while Indi Hartwell took advantage of a distraction to slam Bayley into the ring post. Candice hit a moonsault to seal the win for her team.
Winners: Nia Jax & Candice LeRae.
Finally, the main event of the night: Roman Reigns confronts Solo Sikoa. Roman tries to mend the family rift, but Solo wants more—he wants to be recognized as the Tribal Chief. That’s too much for Roman, who snaps. But Solo has an ace up his sleeve: Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa drag a beaten Jimmy Uso onto the stage, before launching a brutal attack on Roman.
With Roman left lying in the ring, the show ends with one big question: Is the Bloodline finally done for, or is there room for more betrayals and surprises? Knowing Roman and the Usos, we’re in for a lot more drama!
That’s it for tonight, folks! An epic, emotional episode! I’ll see you Monday for Raw, and I’ll be back Tuesday with my take on the show! Xoxo,
Selena!
